A Philosophy on Fitness

I go to the gym, not for love of physical fitness but out of necessity.

Translation: I like treats and I have to compensate for my liberal consumption of them.

So when my Hub recently shared with me his humorous opinion of the gym he really cracked me up. His statement was as follows:

"I hate the gym because it wears me out. The weights are heavy and the cardio makes me tired".

I whole-heartedly concur.

And now, I take my leave to go to the gym, because I see some Thin Mint Cookies in my near future.

amen sista,
I like to say, I eat, therefore I workout. I actually like to workout but it makes me tired. If I only worked out as much as I think about needing to workout in my mind I could be a world class fitness champion.

I see Thin Mints in my future, Tagalongs in my past and Trefoils in my present. Who do I blame for selling me Girl Scout Cookies?

Oh, that's EXACTLY how I feel. I've been thinking about getting an eliptical, because I can't afford a gym membership right now nor can I leave my kids alone while I jog (right, like jogging ever gonna happen). But I, like you, LOVE mint cookies and need something to stop my bootie from becoming an anchor...
